Bryant is still in the validation stage of the business. Prior to our meeting, he hadn’t filled out the results of his FLEX plan. As a result, we had to spend the 1st half of the meeting completing his FLEX. He’s realized that his assumption is too broad. Once he’s narrowed his focus, his next step will be identifying the most effective way to reach his potential customers. During this meeting, I advised him that referrals from previous customers, although easy, are not the most effective method for accomplishing his task.
It’s been a pleasure working with Bryant, I believe that if he continues to optimize and iterate on this process he will develop a stronger understanding of the business development process.
